Snowflake 2012...

What is it?

Evanston middle school students have been living it up at Snowflake since 2001, when it was first held in our community.  The event aims to teach attendees important life skills, such as decision-making, problem solving, communication, and drug refusal techniques in the coolest and most interactive ways possible.  Snowflake engages middle school, high school, and Northwestern students, as well as adults from the community, in order to create a fun and meaningful experience for all involved.

When is it?

Snowflake 2012 will be held at Haven Middle School on Friday, February 10th. It starts after school and lasts until 9:30 pm. Transportation is provided to the event from all the middle schools.

Who can go?

Snowflake is FREE to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in District 65.  Participants receive transportation to the event, t-shirts, snacks, and dinner at no charge.

ETHS students are invited to apply to be small group facilitators. Teachers and other community members are invited to participate in the event as facilitators or volunteers.

What happens there?

Attendees participate in lots of fun activities in small groups and as a large group!  Snowflake 2011 will feature SnowJam and the Happiness Club. To learn more about The Happiness Club, click the following link:  www.thehappinessclub.com
